Foundation Learning
What is Foundation Learning?
It’s a learning programme for 16-18 year olds who are not at college or 6th Form and who are not employed. Along the way we will support you in building your confi dence, help you with basic and key skills, and give you activities and training aimed at helping you to fi nd work – when you’re ready.
And what’s more – you could even get paid!!
And if you are facing issues in your life which you think might hold you back, we can definitely help you to move forward onto the right path.
What do you want to do?
You will sit down with one of your trainers to talk about exactly what it is you want to do. They will then design a learning programme especially for you.
It will include things like communication skills and key skills, as well as events such as abseilling or recording your own music in a studio.
Once you feel ready, you’ll be offered a work placement in a job that interests you – this could lead to full-time, fully-paid employment.
The Gateway
This is where we get to know each other. If you’re not sure what you want to do, or not sure what you’re good at we can help figure it out. The Gateway helps you to learn about yourself and decide where you’re going.
