Where To Look For Work

There are many places that you can go to find a job; Connexions, the Apprenticeships Website, local newspapers, Internet job sites and the Job Centre Plus on your local high street.

You can also try friends and family to see if they know anyone who might have a vacancy. Quite a lot of our Apprentices found their job through someone they know.

Apprenticeship Vacancies

The Apprenticeship Vacancies website is the best place to go if you're looking for work

At Total People, we definitely recommend that you register on the National Apprenticeship Service Website. It is quick, easy and free to do and once you have uploaded details about your education and any work experience, it will save your information so the next time you log-in, you don’t have to write it all out again.

When you have registered, you will then be able to view all of the jobs in your local area and the good thing is that each one is going to be linked to a training programme so if you are successful in getting the job, you know you will start your Apprenticeship immediately.

Every job requires you to apply online and you can apply for as many jobs as you like. You can also keep up-to-date with your application and monitor your progress by logging in.

Most jobs, regardless of whether you find them online or in the newspaper or in a shop window, will require you to go through some form of application process. A detailed and well structured C.V. is really important if you’re applying for a job.
