How to Manage your Applications
Once you have applied to several different vacancies it is important that you track your applications. You can view all of your applications by clicking the Manage Applications tab in the sidebar of the My Home page on the Apprenticeships website .
Successful application
This is the Apprenticeship opportunity that you have accepted. If you are successful and have confirmed your acceptance, withdraw from any other outstanding applications. Good luck with your new career!
Withdrawn Applications
These are sent applications that have then been withdrawn, perhaps after accepting another apprenticeship, taking up another employment or enrolling in education. Vacancies can also be withdrawn by the employer/provider for you, if you have told them you do not want to continue applying for that specific vacancy.
Unsent applications
You have started these applications but not yet sent them off. Some Employers include additional questions to answer within the Application Form that perhaps you may want to think about before submitting. This section has a countdown to the closing date of the vacancy so you know when to apply by. The green icon with a white arrow allows you to continue your Application Form, the cross icon deletes the entry from the Unsent Applications box.
Sent applications
These are applications that you have sent off but they haven’t yet been acknowledged by the Employer. When the Vacancy Manager reviews this and records a decision, it will move to another box on the Manage your Applications page. By pressing the red icon with the white dash, you can delete the link to the vacancy. The screen icon allows you to view the vacancy that you have applied for.
In progress applications
The vacancy is placed here when your application is still being considered. The recruitment process might involve going for an interview or tests and so it may take some time. If you haven’t heard anything for a long time you can contact the Vacancy Manager by clicking on the screen icon to view the vacancy description and using the contact details provided. If you would like to withdraw your application click the red icon with the white dash.
Unsuccessful applications
This is where the vacancy details will appear for an apprenticeship if you have not been successful. The screen icon on the far right links you to the vacancy description so you can read and perhaps see where you went wrong and how you could improve your application for the next vacancy.
