Martin Fisher, has been working at the Co-op in Crewe for the last four years.
Martin originally wanted to be a teacher, and got a place at university, but when his employers at the Co-op offered him a supervisory position combined with work based learning, Martin realised the potential of the opportunity and decided to accept.
“I really enjoyed the training. It allowed me to learn about things in more depth and acquire loads of new skills. It has made a big impact on certain parts of the job, because I’ve become far more aware of how to do things properly” says Martin.
He has been a Supervisor for the last three years, and has completed his Apprenticeship with the support of Total People.
“I really enjoyed the training. It allowed me to acquire loads of new skills. I’ve become far more aware of how to do things properly” - Martin.
Martin’s employers have always encouraged him to learn and develop, and he received dedicated support from Total People. For the future, Martin is determined to carry on with training.
Martin is positive about his future ambitions, “I really want to go onto the Advanced Apprenticeship, that way I should be able to move into a managerial position before too long.”
