Job Purpose

  • To develop the skills and experience necessary to provide a business support function within the Organisation
  • To assist in supporting the operational requirement of the Organisation
  • To achieve an Apprenticeship level 2 and develop relevant knowledge and skills needed to work within a business environment

Main Skills to be Developed

  • Type and word-process various documents and electronic information.
  • Use spreadsheets to create financial reports.
  • Manage, organise, and update relevant data using software applications.
  • Communicate and provide information, both internally and externally to assist the businesses needs.
  • Interpret instructions and then implement actions according to administrative policies and procedures.
  • Research and investigate information as directed.
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
  • Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
  • Be a point of contact for internal and/or external customers.

Summary of Role

To support the smooth running of all aspects of the administration function within the company through the development and implementation of all working practices and procedures and good resource management. The successful candidate will be expected to be self motivating and able to work on their initiative.

  • Day to day management of electronic and paper based filing systems.
  • Managing incoming calls.
  • Meeting & greeting of all visitors
  • Give support when needed to team and other departments

Weekly wage: £95 per week for the duration of the fast track apprenticeship programme

Location: Crewe

Working week: 37 hours (Mon-Fri)

Closing date: 4th March 2011

What training is to be provided?

This is a fast track programme leading to an ITQ Apprenticeship. Apprentices will receive a combination of on and off the job training to develop their skills. Additional development will include customer service and communication skills.

What qualifications are required?

GCSE A-C in English and A-E in Maths

Future prospects

Qualifications in customer service, business administration, accounting or junior management.
