	The areas they covered varied from delivering excellent customer service through to handling deliveries whilst all the time ensuring a healthy and safe environment.

Four managers from local bakers Chatwins have reason to celebrate having achieved their NVQ in the workplace. They were awarded with their certificates at a presentation ceremony held at the head office in Nantwich, Cheshire after completing their NVQ Level 2 in Retail Operations.

The managers, each with years of practical retail experience, were all very enthusiastic to obtain a recognised qualification in their industry and when they heard about the NVQ available from Total People, they all opted to work towards it.

""All the learners were competent in their roles prior to starting the qualification and doing it gave them the opportunity to have this recognised by achieving a National Qualification,"" says Total People Adviser Vicki Davies. ""The areas they covered varied from delivering excellent customer service through to handling deliveries whilst all the time ensuring a healthy and safe environment.""

In November 2006, they were awarded a NVQ Level 2 completion certificate from the Awarding Body City and Guilds.

Sonia Walters, Deputy Manager at Chatwins in Crewe achieved her NVQ Level 2 Award in Hospitality and Catering along with five other Chatwins employees who were awarded with separate accolades having achieved their ITQ, a qualification specifically aimed at individuals who use IT in the workplace become more skilled and competent in their role. Poppy le Blond Vyse, Ruth Gater, Karen Dean, Jane Evans and Brian Lightfoot all achieved their ITQ Route 3 Level 2 award through Learndirect.

Chatwins, a family run bakers is now owned and managed by its' fourth generation. The three brothers are equally as committed as their great-grandfather in maintaining the highest standards in producing and selling quality products. They have many outlets throughout Cheshire and Staffordshire and have been awarded several accolades for their consistent high standards
