We feel it is a privilege to have these staff working for our business and the qualifications they have achieved are a fantastic reward for their continual hard work and commitment during their employment with Chatwins |
Staff at Cheshire based bakers Chatwins have been rewarded for their hard work and endeavour at a presentation awards ceremony held at the company’s head office in Nantwich. Three shop managers responsible for outlets in Cheshire and Staffordshire have been working towards work based qualifications for around 12 months.
Jan Dibble from Chatwins in Newcastle-under-Lyne, Gina Parsonage from a shop in Upton and Karen Griffiths of the Chester outlet have all completed their NVQ Level 3 in Retail Skills. Although all three members of staff wanted to do the qualification, there was a degree of reluctance amongst them as none of them had studied for a long time. “I was a bit daunted at the prospect to begin with”, explains Jan, “but now I have completed I think it will help me to do my job even better as I now think about what I am doing and why and I will carry on reflecting like this in the future”.
Chairman of the organisation Edward Chatwin presented the awards and believes the ceremony is a great way of recognising the achievements of employees. “The staff are what separate Chatwins from the competition. We feel it is a privilege to have these staff working for our business and the qualifications they have achieved are a fantastic reward for their continual hard work and commitment during their employment with Chatwins”.
