About the apprenticeship
This nursery has a great opportunity for an Apprentice Nursery Nurse within their setting. A job working with children is primarily fun, you will be helping children learn through play seeing them grow and develop. The role is based at the nursery that provides full day care for children aged 2 months to school age. Working with children provides constant challenges, personally and professionally. You could be planning for the child’s next steps, a day trip or working with parents, the job will vary from day to day.
The role includes:
- Working with the training provider to obtain nationally recognised qualifications, including completing assignments on time
- To attend team meetings and contribute relevant ideas
- Under supervision to provide all aspects of care for children including changing and feeding
- To assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of children
- Helping children progress through their next steps
- To provide adult interaction with children in the setting
- To be aware and abide by the setting's policies
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Training Provided by the nursery will include;
- Paediatric first aid
- Level 2 safeguarding
- 6 in house training sessions per academic year provided by an external company
- Training provided by the Total People
- NCFE Cache Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)

They offer childcare services from birth - 5 years mainly, but do offer before, after-school care and holiday club facilities. It is a family run, husband and wife team, near to Crewe town centre.
