Overview
St Michaels are looking for a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full time employment and progress to higher level qualifications.
About the apprenticeship
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Select, prepare and clear away classroom materials and learning areas ensuring they are available for use, including development and presenting displays
- Support the teacher in monitoring and recording pupil progress/activities
- Support pupils in their development in groups.
- Support the wellbeing and safeguarding of all children. Report concerns to the teacher or relevant staf member
- Support the use of ICT in the curriculum
- Assist pupils with eating as required, whilst encouraging independence under supervision
- Monitor and manage stock and supplies for the classroom
- Following nursery policies and procedures to care for students and in line with the Multi Academy Trust’s guidelines
- Attend training and meetings linked with the role when required
- Complete any ad hoc duties in line with your role within the nursery
Apprenticeship qualification and training
- Level 3 Advanced Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard
- Fully trained by the Early Years Lead and staff who oversee the nursery
- Basic Safeguarding Awareness training
- Health/Safety online training

Our 3 and 4-year-old nursery offers a warm, nurturing, and creative environment for our children to learn, play and grow.
