About the apprenticeship
Gareth West Hairdressing, Knutsford, are looking to take on an apprentice to join the team. You will gain direct experience in a busy salon with full training provided by Gareth West Hairdressing as well as Total People and Wella leading to an accredited qualification in a full Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship Standard. As an apprentice you will be trained in various aspects of Hairdressing including styling, colouring and cutting. Working as part of a team, customer service, reception, retail, shampooing/conditioning hair and learning the skills to be our future professional in Hairdressing.
Daily duties will include:
- Shampooing/conditioning hair
- Keeping the salon clean and tidy
- Greeting clients
- Making refreshments
- Answering the telephone
- Making and booking appointments
- Preparing clients for further services/treatments
- Laundry
In time you will also work towards:
- Blow drying
- Colouring hair
We are looking for someone enthusiastic, committed and dedicated to begin their career within the Hairdressing industry. The role will involve long periods standing, therefore a good level of physical fitness and stamina is required.
