Timperley Service Station are looking to recruit Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Tech Apprentice to join the team.
About the apprenticeship
Timperley Service Station is searching for a motor vehicle maintenance apprentice to carry out all aspects of servicing and maintaining of mainly light cars, whilst training for a full vehicle technician apprenticeship.
Areas will include:
- General servicing, covering engines, exhaust systems, air-conditioning and security features etc.
- Finding and identifying faults
- Fitting new parts
- Carrying out repairs
- Preventative maintenance
- Checking vehicles against MOT requirements, reporting and actioning defects
Given the nature of this position the successful candidate must have a full UK driving licence.
The starting pay rate will be the national apprenticeship rate which will continuingly be reviewed based on progress.
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
About the employer
We have 2 full-time technicians who between them hold over 30 years’ experience both at main agent and independent garages. We carry out a range of services for all makes and models.
MOT tests can be carried out on your car up to one month prior to the expiry date of an existing UK MOT certificate provided that a current MOT certificate is presented to the examiner at the time of the test.
At Timperley Service Station we have 3 fully qualified MOT Testers, should vehicles fail the test we will provide a competitive quote for the required repairs, we also offer a free MOT Retest inside of 14 days from the original Test. The MOT Test can be carried out up to a month before the expiry date for the certificate to be post-dated.
