About the apprenticeship
The kitchen is a notoriously high-pressure environment; you must be responsible, hardworking and want to learn. Daily duties may include but are not limited to:
- Preparing meats and vegetables
- Measuring ingredients
- Assisting with stock rotation
- Preparing meals
- Developing different cutting techniques
- Assist other chefs
I am looking for a focused, well-organised individual, with a flair and passion to become a recognised Commis Chef; being part of a growing team.
Apprenticeship qualification and training
- Commis Chef Apprenticeship Standard Level 2
- Level 1 Functional Skills English
- Level 1 Functional Skills Mathematics
- Working towards Level 2 Functional Skills in both English and mathematics
Career progression
- Progression within the business following successful completion of the Apprenticeship
- Opportunities to upskill with internal and external training
- Potential of running of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
