We require an Apprentice Hair Professional to join us in our friendly salon. You will work towards a Level 2 Hair Professional apprenticeship standard.
About the apprenticeship
Headmasters was started in 1989 by Alan Jefford and has established itself at the forefront of hairdressing in Chester and the North West attracting clients from all over the country with their unique offers.
Consultation is a vital part of the Headmasters philosophy, we don't just let people walk in and cut their hair, we talk it through and design a style that is right for them as an individual.
We require a salon apprentice to join us in our friendly salon. You will gain first-hand experience in a busy salon with training provided by Headmasters Hairdressing as well as Total People leading to an accredited qualification - Hair Professional (Hairdressing) Standard.
As an Apprentice Hairdresser, you will be trained in various aspects of hairdressing including styling, colouring, and cutting.
Working as part of a team, customer service, reception, retail, shampooing/conditioning hair and learning the skills to be our future professional in hairdressing.
Daily duties will include:
- Shampooing/Conditioning hair
- Keeping the salon clean and tidy
- Greeting clients
- Making refreshments
- Answering the telephone
- Making and booking appointments
- Preparing clients for further services/treatments
- Laundry
In time you will also work towards:
- Blow drying
- Colouring hair
- Cutting hair
- Some reception duties may also be included
We are looking for someone enthusiastic, committed and dedicated to beginning their career in the Hairdressing industry.
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Level 2 Hair Professional apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing)
- Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
