About the apprenticeship
Bespoke gents grooming service located in the heart of macclesfield town centre offering a high end professional barbering service accompanied by great customer service and a brilliant salon environment experience.
We are currently recruiting for a Parlour Grooming academy trainee apprentice. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about the industry of hair and barbering and keen to learn from the outset. A great team player, punctual and polite.
The apprenticeship NVQ will run for approximately 24 months and there will be a guaranteed full time salon position offered at the end of the apprenticeship. The position is fully funded and will offer a full time apprentice wage 5 days per week. The role will require successful applicants to take part in all elements of the day to day running of the salon in order to streamline and assist the stylists working on the shop floor as well as a comprehensive training program in order to develop applicants in to a high quality shop floor stylist.
Duties may include:
- Welcome customers and find out what they want
- Give advice to customers on hairstyles and grooming
- Cut and style hair
- Shave, trim and shape beards and moustaches
- Clean and sterilise equipment, like combs, razors and clippers
- Take payments, keep records and make appointments
