An exciting opportunity to gain a Level 2 qualification working with a team of experienced staff. We are looking for a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team. The role will involve taking care of children aged 0-4years in a busy childcare setting.
About the apprenticeship
Duties to include:
- Working alongside our staff, planning activities, and educating our children in line with the EYFS
- Supporting and liaising with parent's and carers
- Playing an active role in building up children's self-esteem and confidence
- To always make parent's, carer's, children, and colleagues feel valued and welcome
- To be aware of the nursery environment and be safety conscious at all times
- To use your own initiative and to support your colleagues by utilising your time and assisting where it is needed
- To ensure that you keep up to date with the nursery policies
- Formulate and operate a programme of activities suitable for the age range you will be working with in conjunction with the senior nursery nurse of your room
- Arranging activities so that they are regular and planned to suit each child's needs taking into account the child's physical ability and stage of development
- To play an active part in the nursery and work well as a team member, in the room and with other members of the nursery
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
