Overview

We are looking for 3 Apprentices to work in our busy Crewe, Sandbach and Congleton Libraries. The successful candidates will gain a Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification as a Library, Information & Archives Assistant as well as valuable work experience and a wealth of knowledge from professional colleagues.

About the apprenticeship

Act as first point of contact for library users either in person, by telephone or email, assessing their needs and resolving as many requests as possible.  Directing library users to the appropriate source of help or information to ensure that an efficient and effective service to agreed standards is maintained.

Apprenticeship qualification and training

The apprentice will gain a Level 3 Library, Information & Archives Apprenticeship.  Training will be the equivalent to one day per week and will take place mainly on works premises. Additional training opportunites are available to apprentices as organised by the Workforce Develpment Team.
