Level 3 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician apprenticeship

This apprenticeship provides a practical, cost-effective way to develop skilled technicians, helping your business meet technical demands and industry regulations.

33 months of training plus a 3-month End Point Assessment, combining online learning, on-the-job experience and practical sessions in our Wythenshawe training centre.

Apprentices will learn about:

  • Workplace health and safety  
  • Energy efficiency in the environment 
  • Scientific principles 
  • RAC system fabrication 
  • Installing, testing and maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning heat pump systems 
  • F-Gas and ODS regulations 
  • Testing and maintenance techniques 
  • Industry hand tools.

Apprentices will complete 3 assessments as part of their End Point Assessment:

EPA 1: Multiple-choice knowledge test

EPA 2: Two practical assessments

EPA 3: Professional interview to assess.
