Crewe Halloween Spooktacular Event

Study Programme Learners at all sites have been hard at work creating Halloween decorations and models to support the Spooktacular Community Event at the Lifestyle Centre in Crewe.

Staff have worked collaboratively across sectors and with the wider community (Acorn, Visyon, Buildskills, Connected Communities & The Army Recruitment team to name just a few). Staff and learners attended the event in the evening, offering their own time to support and deliver Halloween craft projects to engage young people in a positive way.

The aim of the event was to utilise Halloween as a vehicle to bring young people together in a friendly atmosphere of mutual respect in order to inform people on aspects of health, education and community, therefore promoting and supporting their future choices and aspirations.

The event was a huge success and the organisers were genuinely 'blown away' by the efforts of our young people on Study Programme.  We would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff and learners involved in this brilliant project!

The photos really don't do justice to the hard work the learners put in.  Everyone felt it was such a shame to have these things made and displayed for only a couple of hours.  It has been arranged with Jo Marshall that some of the items and decorations will be proudly displayed at Group House until a week on Wednesday.  If you visit the office during this time, please take a moment to appreciated these fantastic pieces of work and the hardwork that was put into each individual piece.
