About Team Leading and Management

If you’ve got excellent communication and presentation skills, and you enjoy helping people to learn and develop, a management position would be perfect for you! 

An apprenticeship in Team Leading and Management gives you with the chance to learn and use the skills needed for business today. You’ll be supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and checking workloads and resources, planning, resolving problems and building relationships with all that you meet. 

During the apprenticeship you’ll learn how to: 

  • manage personal development 
  • develop working relationships with colleagues 
  • communicate information and knowledge 
  • set objectives and support for team members 
  • plan, allocate and monitor work of a team 

How do you get into Management? 

You don’t always need qualifications to start working in Management, but some employers will want you to have a good standard of education, such as GCSEs, including English and maths.

15 months plus four months gateway

  • Operations Departmental Management Standard 
  • Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership 
  • Functional Skills maths 
  • Functional Skills English
