About Team Leading and Management

If you’ve got excellent communication and presentation skills, and you enjoy helping people to learn and develop, a management position would be perfect for you! 

An apprenticeship in Team Leading and Management gives you the chance to learn and use the skills needed for business today. You’ll be supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and checking workloads and resources, planning, resolving problems and building relationships with all the stakeholders you meet.

How do you get into Management? 

You don’t always need qualifications to start working in Management, but some employers will want you to have a good standard of education, such as GCSEs, including English and maths.

Entry Requirements 

You don’t need qualifications but will need to be in a Team leading role with responsibilities for at least three others. Some employers will want you to have a good standard of education, such as GCSEs, including English, maths and ICT. 

Length of the course 

14 months plus three months gateway 

What qualifications will you gain? 
  • Operations Departmental Management Standard 
  • Functional Skills maths 
  • Functional Skills English  
Entry Requirements 

You don’t need qualifications to start working as a a departmental/operations manager, but some employers will want you to have a good standard of education such as GCSEs, including English, maths and ICT.

24 months plus four months gateway
