General News News

The Mayor of Telford, Councillor Leon Murray recently took time out of his busy schedule to visit our centre in Telford to see the fantastic facilities we have to offer young people.

The councillor was taken on a guided tour around the building to view all the practical training rooms the centre has to offer by Craig Evenson and David Oliver who gave an outline of the programmes we have available for people of all abilities looking to develop themselves and gain employment.

Cllr Leon Murray got to meet all the learners in the centre to see firsthand the work they do as part of their programme and even gave some advice on careers and starting their own company.

The Mayor first started his working life on a 5-year Apprenticeship as an engineer, with the company then sponsoring him to do a 3-year degree, so he was very interested in Apprenticeships and educating young people, expressing the importance of training for the future of the country.
