Apprenticeships General News News

Total People colleagues enjoyed a spectacular evening of celebration at the Unsung Hero Awards, the only national awards to celebrate non-medical and non-clinical NHS staff.

As sponsors of the Apprentice of the Year category, Leanne Shaw, Cluster Manager – Healthcare, Pharmacy and Dental, and Laura Davies, Cluster Manager – Custody and Detention, and Skills for Work and Life, attended the glittering awards which were held at the Marriott Victoria and Albert Hotel in Manchester.

The pair took to the stage to congratulate the five UK apprentices who were nominated for the prestigious prize before announcing Lauren Eyres, Communications Officer at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, as the deserving winner and presenting her with her winning trophy.

Leanne said: “As a provider of apprenticeships and qualifications in Health, Social Care, Dental and Pharmacy, as well as key support sectors such as Business, HR, Admin and Management, we know the real and lasting impact that our NHS apprentices can make to people’s lives.

It was a real honour to sponsor this award and fantastic to be able to congratulate all the category nominees who are truly amazing apprentices and our future healthcare heroes.
