About the apprenticeship
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Counter:
- Serving customers on the trade counter
- Ensuring shop is fully stocked and priced
- Label products and keep area clean and tidy
- Check stock levels and request re-order
- Using the computer to raise Sales Orders / Delivery Notes & Invoices
- Filing of documents produced
Warehouse:
- Ensure orders are picked / despatched as per picking / delivery notes
- The safe loading / handling / unloading of all material
- The safe racking / free standing of all material
- Ensure deliveries are checked before despatch to avoid error
- Receive goods and check against delivery note. Report discrepancies immediately
- Using sage to receive goods / create sales orders and delivery notes
General Duties:
- Report any Health & Safety concerns with regards to equipment / vehicles & warehouse to the Management
- Keep warehouse / shop and w/c facilities clean and tidy
- Inspect equipment regularly and report concerns
- Fulfil training programs deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your
- personal development
- Other duties as required in office and warehouse
