Overview

In the best interests of our children we work very closely with our partner Academies and the successful candidate will be working alongside a team of caring, enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced staff.

About the apprenticeship

Duties to include:

1. Under the direction and supervision of qualified staff assist in the delivery of activities enhancing children's social and educational development.

2. Assist in setting up and clearing away of displays and activities, including ensuring that the materials and equipment are safe and clean.

3. Attend to children's personal needs including assisting in children at meal time.

4. Exchange information with parents / carers.

5. Assist other staff with the assessment procedures to ensure children's progress is satisfactory.

6. Update Children's Records.

7. Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the academy, raising any concerns following academy protocol/procedures.

8. Any other duties appropriate to the post.

Apprenticeship qualification and training

Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.

Apprentice will be completing the Early Years Practitioner qualification alongside any in house training.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship there will be an offer of a full time position.

Career progression

Full time practitioner position upon successful completion of the programme.
