The Chester Grosvenor Hotel are currently looking for a motivated and reliable person to join their friendly team as a Production Chef Apprentice. About the apprenticeship
Daily duties will include:
- Culinary skills - cooking skills and techniques to prepare, produce and present dishes and menu items in line with the business requirements.
- Food Safety - Practicing Food Safety requirements and the law regarding this within the kitchen. To include the importance of allergens, safe systems of work and safe work practices.
- Menus - Working with the finest ingredients and local produce, you will learn how seasonality fits into availability, quality and price.
Apprenticeship qualification and training
- Level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship standard.
- Training will be on the job at the Simon Radley Academy and will include shadowing and mentoring by experienced chefs and other colleagues.
- Total People will assign an experienced Learning Coach who will mentor the successful candidate through the programme which will include professional discussions and live interactive webinars.
- Functional skills in Maths and English if required.
Career progression
Ongoing employment as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie.
