Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to join the Directorate of Student Experience and Engagement at UCEN Manchester. Based in Manchester, this is an exciting opportunity to gain experience across the entire student journey, from outreach and admissions through to enrolment, student support and graduation.
About the apprenticeship
You will work alongside a range of professional services teams, developing valuable administrative, organisational and customer service skills whilst completing your apprenticeship.
As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will play an important role in supporting the Directorate of Student Experience and Engagement.
You will gain experience across a variety of student-facing services, helping to deliver an outstanding student experience from first enquiry through to graduation.
Working with experienced colleagues, you will develop your administration, communication and customer service skills while supporting projects, events and day-to-day operations across the Directorate.
Your duties will include:
- Supporting the Admissions process by responding to enquiries from prospective students, scheduling interviews and auditions, liaising with applicants and academic staff, maintaining accurate applicant records, and assisting with the administration of offers and enrolment.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of student recruitment and transition activities throughout the year, including outreach events, applicant experience activities, enrolment and Welcome Week by preparing resources, coordinating bookings, registering attendees and welcoming prospective and new students.
- Supporting the administration of student support services, including monitoring shared inboxes for Disability, Careers & Employability, Mental Health & Wellbeing and Student Financial
- Support enquiries, recording student contacts, and ensuring timely follow-up by supporting students to book appointments through Microsoft Bookings.
- Providing administrative support for student engagement activities, including coordinating Student Voice meetings, supporting Students' Union campaigns and events, maintaining records, preparing resources and promoting opportunities for students to get involved in life at UCEN Manchester.
- Provide general administrative support across the Directorate of Student Experience and Engagement by maintaining accurate records and databases, updating electronic filing systems, processing documentation, monitoring shared inboxes and assisting colleagues with day-to-day administrative tasks in line with data protection and organisational procedures.
