About the apprenticeship
Kestrel Interiors, Failsworth, is searching for an enthusiastic and reliable individual who has an interest in the construction industry to train as a Site Joiner Apprentice. This position is ideal for someone wanting to obtain a full joinery apprenticeship including day college release in Openshaw. The job will be varied and will include much of the following tasks;
- Cut and shape timber for floorboards, skirting boards and window frames
- Make and assemble doors, window frames, staircases and fitted furniture
- Fit wooden structures, like floors, staircases, partition walls, and door and window frames (1st fixings)
- Install skirting boards, door surrounds, doors, cupboards, shelving, as well as door handles, locks (2nd fixings)
- Build temporary wooden supports to hold concrete in place while it sets
