Overview
A P Machinery sell, build, install maintain packaging equipment. In line with past successful schemes, the business is now searching for a reliable engineering apprentice with a desire to build a career within engineering, specifically within the packaging industry. The role will be very rewarding and offer plenty of variety for a new apprentice.
About the apprenticeship
Core activities will centre eventually around much of the following
- Assisting with building of new equipment
- Installation activities
- Servicing and testing built and installed equipment
- Fault finding
- Installing new parts
- Programming production line equipment
- Workshop activities
- Using fixed and hand held tools
- Working and confirming to health & safety measures
- Attend weekly day release college training in Crewe
- Other activities as reasonably requested
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Maintenance and Operations Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard,
Training on the job, required a weekly day release programme at college in Crewe for the first two years
Career progression
Full time position planned for the right candidate following successful completion of the apprenticeship process and based on company finances at the time
