You can study this free course to help get you into a career in Childcare.
Our childcare course is designed to build the knowledge and skills you will need when working with children. A career in Childcare can be very rewarding and can introduce you to opportunities where you are able to work with and support some of the most vulnerable individuals in our communities. With support with your English and maths skills, this will give you the ability to progress into this rewarding sector.
You will learn about:
- Communicating with children
- Working in Early Years settings
- Craft activities for young children
- Planning a healthy diet
- Safeguarding
- Introduction to Learning Disability
- Social, emotional and psychological development of young children
- Introductory awareness of equality and inclusion in Health, Social Care and children’s and young people’s settings.
Eligibility
Learners must be unemployed, 19+ and live in Greater Manchester. You should be working at Entry 3 in maths and English.
Progression
You could progress into paid local employment in youth work, a nursery, in a school or gain access to higher level qualifications with further specialisms. We will also supply local job vacancies to all learners in Childcare.
