Apprenticeship Spotlight – Sasha Hawley

At Total People, not only do we love to hear about the fantastic achievements of our apprentices, but we want to promote and share their stories as well.

Today, we are delighted to highlight Sasha Hawley and her accomplishments.

Sasha is a Receptionist and Office Administrator for Places for People, where she undertook her apprenticeship and continues to be a valued employee.  She has been incredibly successful during her time as an apprentice, not only completing both her Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships in Business and Administration, but also getting through to the final six of the York Apprentice of the Year in the aged 25+ category.  It’s an incredible achievement, and fully deserved for all of Sasha’s hard work, commitment and achievements.

We spoke to Sasha to find out more about her time as an apprentice:

“My journey with Total People was a smooth one. The Training Advisers were very helpful as I had two of them, due to my first adviser leaving for a maternity period. The transition between the Training Advisers was smooth and the framework was easy to follow. The apprenticeship helped me gain more confidence in my role and improved a number of other skills along the way. My employer was very understanding throughout the programme and allowed me the time to complete it. The apprenticeship ceremony was a nice way to end the journey, and it was good to catch up with my Training Adviser a few months after completing the framework.”
