Tell us a little bit more about your organisation  

Hale Communications are Business, Telecoms and Digital Technology experts. 

Based in Altrincham, Cheshire, we have been working with businesses and helping them to save money for over 30 years. 

We were founded in the 80s at the forefront of the mobile phone revolution when phones were like bricks!  Fast forward 30 years and how times have changed. Today, technology touches almost everything we do both in our personal and working lives.   

As technology evolved, we recognised that we needed to bring in additional expertise to be able to fully service our customers and since joining forces with one of the North-West’s leading business technology transformation experts, inTec Business Solutions, last year we are now so much more than just telecoms.

Tell us more about your 50in5 apprenticeship 

The role is a Customer Service/Sales Apprentice at an intermediate level. A full-time position in the business might be available subject to the Apprentice’s performance.  

Initially, the Apprentice will shadow our sales and marketing teams to learn and understand the industry. They will also be put onto training courses from our partners, i.e. Vodafone, Microsoft, O2, EE, Gamma, Horizon, etc.    

General daily duties include:   

•Handling calls into the office and dealing with our customers at an account management level 

•Managing emails 

•Preparing quotes 

•Assisting customers and the sales team with queries   

•Creating and applying relevant formulas for costs  

•General administrative duties 

What made you want to recruit an apprentice? 

We needed additional administrative support with all departments in the business.
