One of our trainee pharmacy technician apprentices won the outstanding contribution to pharmacy category at the awards sponsored by IQVIA. Employers and keynote speakers attended the event to congratulate the apprentices on their achievements and encourage them toward future success.
Sarah Newton, the winner of the outstanding contribution to pharmacy award told us just some of the reasons why she won the award.
“I won the award for supporting new starters with their training, doing inductions when my colleague was on holiday, showing people around the hospital to make them feel welcome, and supporting the 1st year students. I also gave another colleague a lift to and from work for the first few months until he got his driving license and I was his mentor as he didn't have a pharmacy background. The award came as a surprise to me as I only found out about the nomination on the day.”
It is truly inspirational to see our apprentices go the extra mile and win awards.
Apprentices truly are brilliant!
