General News News

If you’re not already aware, in September Total People celebrated 25 years of training with our very own circus-themed event, including bouncy castles, hook-a-duck and welly wanging… We all love a good old welly wang!

As part of the event we wanted to raise money for some really great causes dedicated to helping others and with all staff together at once, there couldn’t have been a better time.

After a lot of um’ing and ahh’ing, we finally decided on two charities we thought the money should go to: Macmillan Cancer Support and St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice.

These two stood out because Cancer is something that statistically affects everyone in out lives and with St Luke’s being so close to home, they’re charities we can all relate too.

£1000 was handed over to St Lukes in Winsford

Sue, Liz and Jordan from Total People took a short trip to St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford and met with Angela and Vickie, who work in the community to raise money, to hand over the £1000 cheque.

They got a guided tour around the building and saw the excellent facilities that they have for patients and their families.

Jordan commented:

It really is amazing to see first-hand how the money is going to be used to make someone else’s life better.

We’d  like to give a huge thank you to Eurocamp, KPI Recruiting, Bomfords and Wilsons Hairdressing for providing us with amazing prizes for our raffles… without their support we would never have been able to reach our goal!
