Meet Simone

Simone Healey has worked for Total People since 2010, beginning her career as a Trainer delivering Levels 1, 2 and 3 Early Years qualifications.

During this time, she completed the Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) qualification and expanded her role to include learning coaching and classroom support. She subsequently gained her Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification, alongside the Level 4 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) and the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CTLLS). In 2019, Simone progressed into the role of Lead IQA and was appointed Curriculum and Performance Manager in 2021.

Prior to joining Total People, Simone worked as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), supporting children in school settings. During this period, she completed her Early Years degree, further strengthening her passion for promoting the learning, development and wellbeing of young children.

Simone’s extensive vocational background directly informs the leadership and support she provides to her team. As vocational specialists in their respective fields, her team benefit from the practical experience, sector knowledge and real-world insight that Simone and her colleagues bring to their work, ensuring high-quality delivery. This approach enables apprentices to receive relevant, current and experience-embedded teaching that reflects real practice across early years and education settings. Together, they are committed to supporting learners to succeed and to developing highly skilled early years practitioners and teaching assistants who make a meaningful difference to the lives of babies, children and young adults.
