- Installation engineers
- Manufacturing procurement engineers
- Manufacturing production engineers
- Process engineers
- Production support engineers
- Quality engineers
- Test and commissioning engineers.
What your apprentice will learn
The programme covers a wide range of essential engineering and manufacturing topics, including:
- Manufacturing methods and production systems
- Engineering drawings, documentation and reporting
- Quality systems and compliance
- Root cause analysis and process improvement
- Costing and manufacturing planning
- Project management and engineering change control
- Data analysis and KPI reporting
- Health, safety, environmental and sustainability practices
- Lean tools and continuous improvement
- New product introduction
- CAD, databases and engineering software tools.
This is an apprenticeship offer, led by Total People — part of the LTE Group
Apprentices attend UCEN at our Openshaw campus one day a week to be taught the HNC qualification that is a mandatory qualification within the standard.
Off-the-job learning includes:
- Classroom and blended theory sessions
- Practical skills development
- Work shadowing
- Supported study time for assignments.
All training is directly linked to the apprenticeship standard and designed to build new skills.
