We’re saying a huge thank you to all our levy gifting employers this December for gifting £1.2m of life changing funds this year.
We spoke to Molly Rigby, an apprentice Dental Nurse on a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing (QCF), who has been able to train thanks to a gift of unused levy funds from facilities management company Apleona.
"I wanted to challenge myself with something completely new.
This apprenticeship has allowed me to work hands-on while gaining a qualification and I've loved it!
"I’ve gained so many! My top three would be confidence as I felt like this was something I was lacking, communication skills as my role is patient facing and working with a lot of team members - this is a skill I have developed in a lot.
"The main one would have to be organisation skills. It can be a lot working full-time as well as fitting in the learning alongside it but I was motivated to learn the theory behind the practice because I enjoyed it so much.
"It has benefited me completely! Before my apprenticeship, I felt lost doing a degree and I didn’t feel right.
This apprenticeship has opened so many future pathways for me that I’m excited to explore.
"I would like to thank them. I am so grateful I was given the opportunity to do an apprenticeship and gain my qualification as a Dental Nurse."
