Another employer has made a generous donation to our £1 Million in 200 days campaign.
As our campaign to raise £1 Million in levy gifted funds in 200 days continues, Smyths Toys is the latest employer to contribute.
Smyth Toys has generously gifted £55k in unused apprenticeship levy funds to Total People. These funds can now be used by SMEs to support apprenticeships in the Childcare and Education sectors.
Smyths are dedicated to encouraging learning and developing skills, both within the products they sell and the way they help their staff progress their careers as well as the wider sector of childcare and education.
Jessica Newell, Regional Hr Officer Said “We chose the Early childhood and education sector because it fits within Smyths values. As the fastest growing toy retailer, we aim to inspire creativity in children. We felt gifting to this sector would help people reach their potential career goals and in turn, build a solid foundation for a child's lifelong learning and wellbeing”.
Jessica continued “The Total People team have been friendly and explained everything to make the gifting process simple. I would encourage other businesses to gift their unused levy funds and to help bridge the skill gap”.
