About the apprenticeship
As a Finance Assistant and Administration member at MSL UK LTD, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Team and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to financial processes and the inner workings of the company's administration department. Key Responsibilities:
Finance:
- Supplier Invoices: Assist in the processing and reconciliation of supplier invoices
- Customer Invoices: Support the creation and management of customer invoices
- Bank Reconciliation: Help in reconciling financial transactions and bank statements
- Assist with other Finance Work: Collaborate with the Finance Team on various financial tasks and projects
- Sage 50 Software: Gain hands-on experience with the Sage 50 Software, a widely used accounting tool in the industry
- Financial Side of the Business: Develop a deeper understanding of the financial aspects of our business operations
- Administration: Booking Container: Be responsible for booking containers and coordinating logistics
- Stocktake: Participate in stocktaking activities to maintain accurate inventory records
- Goods Out and Goods in Reporting: Generate reports related to goods in and goods out of the company
- Booking: Assist in making bookings and coordinating schedules
- Customer Enquiries: Provide support in handling customer enquiries and requests
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Apprenticeship - Assistant Accountant Level 3 (includes) a AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. This can include:
Level 2 AAT:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping
- Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
Level 3 AAT:
- Financial Accounting - Preparing Financial Statements
Management Accounting:
- Techniques
- Tax Processes for Business
- Business Awareness
End Point Assessment (EPA):
- Synoptic assessment
- Portfolio and reflective discussion
You will have a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude; previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not essential as full on-the-job training and the opportunity to learn industry-standard software will be given.
