Overview
An exciting apprenticeship opportunity has arisen to join a growing organisation. APSE provides a range of services to Councils across the UK including seminars, advice, training and benchmarking. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work with other members of the Business Support Team to provide support on all financial matters within APSE.
About the apprenticeship
Responsibilities include:
- Adding sales, purchase invoices and credit notes onto the system.
- Banking incoming cheques.
- Inputting incoming payments onto the system and taking card payments over the phone and by email.
- Assist with chasing payments.
- Running various reports for the business such as income and expenditure.
- Assist with setting up accounts for new customers and suppliers.
- Assist with invoice and payment queries.
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Alongside your role, you will study towards AAT qualifications, including level 2 Book-Keeping (only if required), level 3, and progression to the level 4 qualification. Delivery method to be confirmed.
Career progression
It is expected the successful candidate will receive a permanent job at end of apprenticeship programme.
