North Shropshire Scaffolding, Oswestry, is an established business who would like to offer 2 Scaffolding apprenticeship opportunities to the right candidates.
About the apprenticeship
Job role will include;
- Unload scaffolding from a lorry
- Create a stable base on the ground
- Put up scaffolding poles and attach horizontal tubes to them
- Fix scaffolding to a building
- Lay planks across scaffolding for workers to walk on
- Fix guard rails and safety net
- Check the scaffold is secure before handing over
- Take down scaffolding at the end of a job
- working at all times to strict health and safety practices
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Scaffolder Level 2 Standard
Training will be on the job and the successful candidate will also be required to attend Day Release at Cheshire College - South & West in Crewe on a weekly basis.
The apprentice will shadow experienced colleagues and will be assigned a Total People Learning Coach who will support them throughout the programme.
Career progression
Full time position following successful completion of the apprenticeship process and based on company finances at the time.
