What is a levy transfer?
Levy gifting allows a levy paying company to transfer up to 25% of unspent levy funds to another organisation to cover the cost of apprenticeships, rather than return the unspent funds back to HMRC.
By doing this, you can use unspent funds to support other businesses in your chosen sector to ‘sponsor’ upskilling or help to recruit new apprentices.
Within your Apprenticeship Service Account you can create a ‘transfer pledge’ and choose to transfer funds by:
- Location
- Sector
- Job role
- Qualification level
