The role will be to work as an Apprentice Childcare Assistant within the nursery setting.
About the apprenticeship
The role will be to work as an Apprentice Childcare Assistant within the nursery, core activities including:
- Help ensure the safety and security of children in the setting
- Promoting the children's learning and enjoyment through planned play experiences
- Supporting children's care routines such as meal and sleep times
- Helping to prepare, carry out and clear away a wide range of childcare activities and resources
- Care for and look after children during outdoor play
- Supporting language acquisition and language skills
- Supervise and support children's play extending their interests
- Making sure children feel safe and secure at all times
- Adhering to settings policies and procedures
Ideally, we are searching for a candidate who has achieved a previous level 2 award, however, we certainly welcome applicants with the right attitude who are looking to achieve their level 2 award.
Applicants must make sure that if successful they are able to travel to their setting which is in a rural location close to Northwich.
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
