The Lakes Nursery are looking for an Nursery Apprentice to join the team and to take on day to day duties as part of a Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full time employment and progress to higher level qualifications.
About the apprenticeship
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- To be aware of the high profile of the setting and uphold its philosophy and standards at all times
- Be aware and act in accordance with current legislation, policy and procedures
- To assist with operating a programme of activities in a professional manner under the guidance of senior staff
- Support colleagues by positively engaging in the staff team
- Be polite to all parents, carers, families and visitors
- Attend further professional development courses
- Attend out of working hours activities such as staff meetings, parent and fundraising events
- Respect confidentiality of information received
- Be flexible within working practices of the setting
- Be aware of children’s individual differences, cultures, religious backgrounds and stages of development
- Undertake certain domestic tasks within the setting, for example, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment
