Packaging Automation, Knutsford is searching for an Apprentice CNC Milling Machinist to join their team. You will work towards a Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard.
About the apprenticeship
Packaging Automation Ltd based in Knutsford require a hardworking and reliable person to join their business as an Apprentice CNC Machinist. Full training to be provided by Packaging Automation Ltd and Total People. You will start a recognised Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship which will include a Crewe based weekly off-site training need.
Tasks associated with the role include much of the following:
- Programming the CNC machine
- Reading drawings
- Working out the most efficient order to carry out machining tasks
- Choosing the right tools for each stage
- Setting the cutting speeds and tolerance levels
- Operating the machine
- Checking the work meets quality and technical standards
- Maintaining equipment
- Other duties as reasonably directed
Apprenticeship qualification and training
Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
